Setting Up the Brother PJ-662 Mobile Printer
Unboxing and Initial Setup
- Unpack the printer from its box and remove all packaging materials.
- Insert the included AC adapter into the power port on the printer.
- Connect the other end of the AC adapter to a power outlet.
- Open the top cover of the printer to expose the paper slot.
- Insert a roll of thermal paper into the slot and thread it through the printer.
- Close the top cover.
Wireless Connection
Wi-Fi Connection:
- On your mobile device, go to the Wi-Fi settings and connect to the “Brother PJ-662” network.
- Once connected, open the Brother iPrint&Scan app on your device.
- Tap on “Connect to Printer” and select “PJ-662”.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
AirPrint Connection (iOS Only):
- Ensure your iOS device and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Open the app you want to print from and tap the Share button.
- Select “Print” from the options.
- Tap on “Brother PJ-662” in the list of available printers.
- Adjust the print settings as needed and tap “Print”.
Bluetooth Connection
- On your device, go to the Bluetooth settings and make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
- Open the Brother iPrint&Scan app.
- Tap on “Connect to Printer” and select “PJ-662”.
- Select “Bluetooth” and follow the on-screen instructions to pair and connect your device with the printer.
Printing
- Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to your device.
- Open the document or image you want to print.
- Tap the Share button or select “Print” from the file menu.
- Select “Brother PJ-662” as the printer.
- Adjust the print settings as needed and tap “Print”.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Printer Not Printing:
- Check if the printer is turned on and connected to power.
- Ensure you have inserted thermal paper correctly.
- Reinstall the Brother iPrint&Scan app and try again.
- Reset the printer by pressing the reset button located under the top cover.
Wi-Fi Connection Issues:
- Verify the printer’s Wi-Fi network name and password are correct.
- Ensure your device and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Restart the printer and router.
Bluetooth Connection Issues:
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both your device and the printer.
- If the devices cannot pair, try resetting the Bluetooth settings on your device.
- Ensure the devices are within range of each other.
Print Quality Issues:
- Check if the thermal paper is clean and free from smudges or debris.
- Adjust the print settings, such as the darkness or paper speed, to improve quality.
- Replace the thermal paper roll with a new one.
