Setting Up the Brother PJ-662 Mobile Printer

Unboxing and Initial Setup

  1. Unpack the printer from its box and remove all packaging materials.
  2. Insert the included AC adapter into the power port on the printer.
  3. Connect the other end of the AC adapter to a power outlet.
  4. Open the top cover of the printer to expose the paper slot.
  5. Insert a roll of thermal paper into the slot and thread it through the printer.
  6. Close the top cover.

Wireless Connection

Wi-Fi Connection:

  1. On your mobile device, go to the Wi-Fi settings and connect to the “Brother PJ-662” network.
  2. Once connected, open the Brother iPrint&Scan app on your device.
  3. Tap on “Connect to Printer” and select “PJ-662”.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

AirPrint Connection (iOS Only):

  1. Ensure your iOS device and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  2. Open the app you want to print from and tap the Share button.
  3. Select “Print” from the options.
  4. Tap on “Brother PJ-662” in the list of available printers.
  5. Adjust the print settings as needed and tap “Print”.

Bluetooth Connection

  1. On your device, go to the Bluetooth settings and make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
  2. Open the Brother iPrint&Scan app.
  3. Tap on “Connect to Printer” and select “PJ-662”.
  4. Select “Bluetooth” and follow the on-screen instructions to pair and connect your device with the printer.

Printing

  1. Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to your device.
  2. Open the document or image you want to print.
  3. Tap the Share button or select “Print” from the file menu.
  4. Select “Brother PJ-662” as the printer.
  5. Adjust the print settings as needed and tap “Print”.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Printer Not Printing:

  • Check if the printer is turned on and connected to power.
  • Ensure you have inserted thermal paper correctly.
  • Reinstall the Brother iPrint&Scan app and try again.
  • Reset the printer by pressing the reset button located under the top cover.

Wi-Fi Connection Issues:

  • Verify the printer’s Wi-Fi network name and password are correct.
  • Ensure your device and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Restart the printer and router.

Bluetooth Connection Issues:

  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on both your device and the printer.
  • If the devices cannot pair, try resetting the Bluetooth settings on your device.
  • Ensure the devices are within range of each other.

Print Quality Issues:

  • Check if the thermal paper is clean and free from smudges or debris.
  • Adjust the print settings, such as the darkness or paper speed, to improve quality.
  • Replace the thermal paper roll with a new one.
