Detailed Guide to Setting Up the Canon MX700 Series
Prerequisites:
- Canon MX700 series printer (MX700, MX710, MX720, MX730)
- Printer ink cartridges

Step 1: Unpack and Install Printer Cartridges
- Unpack the printer and remove all packing materials.
- Open the front cover of the printer and remove the protective orange tape.
- Insert the ink cartridges into their designated slots until they click into place.
- Close the front cover.
Step 2: Connect to Power and Computer

- Printer Not Connecting Wirelessly: Ensure the printer is in range of your WiFi network and that the correct password is entered. Contact your router manufacturer if necessary.
- Paper Jam: Open the printer and gently remove the jammed paper. Check for any obstructions or debris that may be causing the jam.
- Ink Cartridges Not Recognized: Remove and reinsert the ink cartridges, ensuring they are properly aligned. Clean the contacts on the cartridges and the printer with a soft cloth.
- Poor Print Quality: Check the ink levels and replace empty or depleted cartridges. Clean the printer heads by running the print head cleaning utility from the printer settings.
- Scanner Not Working: Ensure the scanner lid is properly closed. Check for any obstructions or debris that may be interfering with the scanner mechanism. Clean the scanner glass with a soft cloth.
- Printer Not Responding: Restart the printer by turning it off and then back on. If the issue persists, contact Canon customer support.
