Setting Up Your Canon PIXMA MG3520
Materials You’ll Need:
- Canon PIXMA MG3520 printer
- Power cord
- USB cable (optional)
- Ink cartridges (black and color)
Step 1: Unpack the Printer
- Remove the printer from the box and remove all packaging materials.
- Open the front paper tray and remove the protective inserts.
Step 2: Install the Ink Cartridges
- Open the ink cartridge cover.
- Remove the protective caps from the cartridges.
- Insert the black cartridge into the left slot and the color cartridge into the right slot.

- Lift the rear paper support and pull out the paper tray.
- Load up to 60 sheets of plain paper or 20 sheets of photo paper.
- Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size and slide the paper tray back into the printer.
Step 7: Print a Test Page
- On your computer, open a document and select the Canon PIXMA MG3520 as the printer.
- Click “Print” and observe the printed page.
- If the test page prints successfully, the printer is properly set up.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Problem: Printer won’t turn on
- Check that the power cord is securely connected.
- Make sure the power outlet is working.
Problem: Cartridge not recognized
- Remove the cartridge and reinsert it, making sure it clicks into place.
