Canon PIXUS MP450 Setup Guide

Step 1: Unpack and Assemble

  • Remove the printer from its packaging and take out all components.
  • Assemble the ink tanks by inserting them into their specified slots until they click into place.
  • Place the paper cassette in the back of the printer and load it with paper.

Step 2: Install Drivers and Software

  • Insert the provided installation CD into your computer. If the CD does not start automatically, navigate to the CD drive from your computer and run “Setup.exe”.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the printer drivers and software.
  • Once the installation is complete, click “Finish”.

Step 3: Configure Wireless Connection

  • Make sure your printer and computer are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Press the “Wi-Fi” button on the printer.

  • Select “Manually connect to a wireless network” and enter the name (SSID) and password of your Wi-Fi network.
  • Once connected, press the “OK” button on the printer.

  • Open any document on your computer and click on “File” > “Print”.
  • Select your Canon PIXUS MP450 printer from the list of available printers.
  • Click on “Print” to print a test page.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Printer Not Connecting to Wi-Fi

  • Verify that the Wi-Fi light on the printer is blinking or solid.
  • Check if your computer and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
