Materials:

  • Canon SELPHY CP500 Printer
  • SELPHY Photo Paper and Ink Cassette
  • Wi-Fi network credentials

Steps:

  1. Unbox the printer and connect the power cord.
  2. Install the ink cassette and paper.

    • Check if the printer head needs cleaning by pressing the “Clean” button on the printer panel.
  • Printouts have a yellow tint:
    • This is likely due to the ink being depleted. Replace the ink cassette with a new one.
  • Printer not recognized by computer:
    • Ensure that the USB cable is firmly connected to both the printer and the computer.
    • Try using a different USB cable.
    • Reinstall the Canon SELPHY CP500 software on your computer.
