Epson PM G700 Setup Guide
Materials:
- Epson PM G700 printer
- Ink cartridges
- Paper
- USB cable (optional)
Step 1: Unpack and Inspect
Unpack the printer and inspect it for any damage. Remove all protective materials and tapes.
Step 2: Install Ink Cartridges
- Open the front cover of the printer.
- Remove the ink cartridge holders.
- Insert the ink cartridges into the correct slots.
- Close the ink cartridge holders and the front cover.
Step 3: Load Paper
- Open the rear feed tray.
- Adjust the paper guides to the width of the paper.
- Load paper face down into the tray.
- Close the rear feed tray.

- Optional (USB): Connect the printer to your computer using the USB cable.
- Wi-Fi Setup:
- Hold down the Wi-Fi button on the printer until it starts flashing.
- On your computer, navigate to the printer settings and select “Add a printer.”
- Choose your printer model from the list and follow the prompts to connect.
Step 5: Driver Installation
- Insert the installation CD into your computer.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to install the printer drivers.
Step 6: Print Test Page
- Open the printer properties dialog box.
- Select “Print Test Page” from the “Maintenance” tab.
- Check if the test page is printed correctly.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Printer Not Printing
- Check if the printer is turned on and connected.
- Ensure the ink cartridges are installed correctly.
- Restart the printer.
- Clean the print heads using the printer maintenance utility.
Paper Feed Issues
- Adjust the paper guides to the correct size of paper.
- Check if the paper is loaded correctly.
- Remove any jammed paper by opening the rear feed tray and gently pulling it out.
Wi-Fi Connection Issues
- Ensure the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Check if the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.
- Restart the printer and router.
- Reset the printer’s Wi-Fi settings using the maintenance utility.
Ink Smudging
- Clean the print nozzles using the printer maintenance utility.
- Use genuine Epson inks and paper.
- Allow the ink to dry completely before handling prints.
