Troubleshooting Common Issues
Printing Errors
- Blank pages: Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
- Streaks or smudges: Clean the print head using the built-in utility (see the printer manual for instructions).
- Paper jams: Gently pull the paper out of the printer. Check for any obstructions and ensure that the paper is loaded correctly.
Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues
- Unable to connect: Make sure the printer is within range of your router and that the Wi-Fi password is correct. Try power cycling the printer and router by unplugging them and plugging them back in.
- Slow connection: Ensure that the Wi-Fi signal is strong. Try moving the printer closer to the router or using a Wi-Fi extender.
- SSID not found: Check if the printer’s Wi-Fi network is broadcasting its SSID. If not, enable SSID broadcast in the printer settings.
Ink Cartridge Issues
- Ink cartridges not recognized: Reseat the cartridges by removing and reinserting them. If the issue persists, try using a new set of cartridges.
- Low ink warning: Replace the corresponding ink cartridge when prompted. You can continue printing with low ink levels, but the print quality may be affected.
Other Issues
- Printer not responding: Restart the printer by unplugging it and plugging it back in. Check if the power cord is securely plugged in.
- Error codes: Consult the printer manual for specific error code meanings and troubleshooting steps.
- Software errors: Reinstall the printer software by uninstalling the current version and downloading a fresh copy from Epson’s website.
