Setting Up the HP DeskJet d2345 Printer

Step 1: Unpack the Printer

Open the printer box and remove all packing materials. Save the box and packing materials in case you need to return the printer.

Step 2: Install the Ink Cartridges

  1. Open the printer cover.
  2. Remove the placeholder black and color cartridges.
  3. Remove the new black and color cartridges from their packages.
  4. Insert the black cartridge into the black slot and the color cartridge into the tricolor slot.
  5. Push the cartridges into place until they click.
  6. Close the printer cover.

Step 3: Connect the Printer to Power

  1. Connect the power cord to the back of the printer.
  2. Plug the other end of the power cord into a power outlet.

Step 4: Connect the Printer to Your Computer (Optional)

USB Connection:

  1. Connect a USB cable from the back of the printer to a USB port on your computer.
  2. The printer driver should install automatically.

Wi-Fi Connection:

  1. Press the Wi-Fi button on the printer control panel.
  2. On your computer, open the Wi-Fi settings and select the HP DeskJet d2345 network.
  3. Enter the password (12345678 by default).

Step 5: Install the Printer Driver (Only for USB Connection)

If the printer driver did not install automatically, follow these steps:

  1. Insert the HP software CD into your computer.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
  3. If you don’t have the CD, you can download the driver from HP’s website.
