Setting Up the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125r

Step 1: Unbox the Printer

  • Remove the printer from the box and all packaging materials.
  • Keep the box and packaging in case you need to return the printer.

Step 2: Install the Software

  • Go to HP’s website and download the latest software for your operating system.
  • Run the installation wizard and follow the prompts.

Step 3: Connect the Printer

  • Select “Print Reports” and then “Configuration Page.”
  • The printer will print a test page containing information about its settings.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Issue: Printer will not power on

  • Check that the power cord is securely connected to the printer and power outlet.
  • Try a different power outlet.
  • Reset the printer by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.

Issue: Printer does not print

  • Check that the printer is connected to the computer and powered on.
  • Make sure the paper tray is loaded with paper.

  • Clean the toner cartridge by removing it and gently shaking it.
