Setting Up the HP LaserJet Pro MFP M125r
Step 1: Unbox the Printer
- Remove the printer from the box and all packaging materials.
- Keep the box and packaging in case you need to return the printer.
Step 2: Install the Software
- Go to HP’s website and download the latest software for your operating system.
- Run the installation wizard and follow the prompts.
Step 3: Connect the Printer
- Connect the power cord to the printer and a power outlet.

- Close the top cover.
Step 6: Print a Test Page
- From the printer’s control panel, press the “Information” button.
- Select “Print Reports” and then “Configuration Page.”
- The printer will print a test page containing information about its settings.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Issue: Printer will not power on
- Check that the power cord is securely connected to the printer and power outlet.
- Try a different power outlet.
- Reset the printer by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
Issue: Printer does not print
- Check that the printer is connected to the computer and powered on.
- Make sure the paper tray is loaded with paper.
