Setting Up the HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One
Materials Required:
- HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One printer
- Power cord
- USB cable (optional)
- Ink cartridges
Step 1: Unpack and Inspect
Carefully unpack the printer and remove all packaging materials. Inspect the printer for any damage or defects.
Step 2: Install Ink Cartridges
Open the front cover of the printer and locate the ink cartridge slots. Remove the protective orange caps from the ink cartridges and insert them into the correct slots (black into black, color into color).

- From your mobile device or computer, connect to the “DIRECT-[printer name]” Wi-Fi network.
- Open a browser and go to 192.168.223.1.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to input your Wi-Fi network name and password.
Step 8: Install HP Smart App (Mobile Printing)
- Download the HP Smart app on your mobile device from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
- Open the app and follow the prompts to connect your printer.
Troubleshooting Common Issues:
Printer Won’t Turn On:
- Check if the power cord is securely connected to the printer and the outlet.
- Try resetting the printer by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
Paper Jam:
- Open the printer’s cover and carefully remove any jammed paper.
- Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly and the paper tray is not overloaded.
Poor Print Quality:
- Check the ink levels and replace any empty cartridges.
- Clean the printhead by following the instructions in the printer’s user manual.
- Ensure that the paper type matches the printer’s specifications.
Wi-Fi Connection Issues:
- Make sure your printer and device are within range of your Wi-Fi router.
- Check if your Wi-Fi network is working properly.
- Reset the printer’s Wi-Fi settings and re-enter your network credentials.
Mobile Printing Issues:
- Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer.
- Check if the HP Smart app is up to date.
- Restart your mobile device and try printing again.
