Setting Up the HP OfficeJet 5515 All-in-One Printer
1. Unboxing and Assembly
- Open the printer box and remove all components.
- Remove all protective tapes and packaging materials.
- Connect the power cord to the printer and a power outlet.
- Lift the scanner lid and remove the orange shipping lock.
2. Ink Cartridge Installation
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Remove the orange shipping seals from the color and black ink cartridges.
- Insert the black cartridge into the left slot and the color cartridge into the right slot.
- Press down on the cartridges until they snap into place.
3. Paper Tray Loading
- Open the paper input tray.
- Slide the paper width guides to fit the paper size.
- Insert up to 100 sheets of plain paper or 30 sheets of photo paper.
- Close the paper input tray.
4. Software Installation
- Insert the supplied software CD into your computer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install the HP printer software.
- During the installation, select your printer from the list and connect it to your computer via USB or Wi-Fi (if desired).
5. Wi-Fi Setup (Optional)
- If you want to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network, select “Wireless” during the software installation.
- Follow the on-screen instructions and enter your Wi-Fi password.
- Once the connection is established, the printer will print a confirmation page.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
1. Printer Doesn’t Print
- Check if the printer is powered on and connected to a power outlet.

4. Paper Jams

- Close the printer covers and restart the printer.
5. Printer Won’t Connect to Wi-Fi
- Make sure the router is powered on and within range.
- Ensure that your computer or mobile device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
- Check if the printer is detected in the list of available Wi-Fi networks.
- Reset the printer’s Wi-Fi settings by pressing and holding the Wi-Fi button for 5 seconds.
