Setting Up the Canon PIXMA E500 Printer

Materials:

  • Canon PIXMA E500 printer
  • Ink cartridges (black and color)
  • Power cord
  • USB cable (optional)

Step 1: Unpack the Printer

  • Remove the printer from the box and packaging.
  • Check the contents for the printer, ink cartridges, power cord, setup CD, and other accessories.

Step 2: Install Ink Cartridges

  • Open the ink cartridge cover.
  • Remove the orange protective covers from the cartridges.
  • Insert the black cartridge into the left slot and the color cartridge into the right slot.

Printer Won’t Turn On

  • Check that the power cord is properly connected to the printer and the power outlet.
  • Make sure the power switch is turned on.

Paper Jam

  • Open the top cover of the printer.

  • Reload the paper correctly and close the top cover.

Error Codes
