Unboxing and Initial Setup
- Unpack the contents: Remove the printer, power cord, ink/paper cassette, and any other accessories from the box.

- Connect via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi: Make sure your smartphone or tablet is connected to the printer via either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
- Select print settings: In the SELPHY Photo Layout app, adjust print settings such as size, layout, and quantity.
- Send print job: Tap the “Print” button in the app to start printing.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
Printer won’t turn on:
- Check that the power cord is securely plugged into both the printer and the power outlet.
- Ensure that the printer’s paper tray is closed properly.
- Unplug the printer, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in.
Printing issues:
- Blurred or faint prints: Ensure that you are using original Canon ink and paper. Check that the print head nozzles are clean.
- Paper jams: Open the printer’s lid and gently remove any jammed paper. Check for any obstructions in the paper path.
- Incorrect size prints: Verify that the print size selected in the SELPHY Photo Layout app matches the paper size loaded in the cassette.
Connectivity issues:
- Can’t connect to Wi-Fi: Make sure that the printer is within range of your router. Reset the printer’s Wi-Fi settings and reconnect to your network.
- Can’t connect via Bluetooth: Check that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone or tablet. Restart the printer and try connecting again.
Other issues:
- Printer is noisy: The printer may make slight noises during operation. If the noise is excessive, contact Canon support.
- Printer is overheating: Unplug the printer and allow it to cool down for at least 30 minutes before using it again.
