Setting Up the Epson Stylus CX9400 Printer
Step 1: Unboxing and Assembly
- Remove the printer from the box and place it on a stable surface.
- Open the top cover and remove the orange shipping tape.

Error Message: “Carriage jam”
- Open the top cover and gently move the carriage back and forth until it is no longer jammed.
- Close the top cover and try printing again.
Error Message: “Printing not possible”
- Check the ink levels and replace any empty cartridges.
- Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed.
- Verify that the paper is loaded correctly and not jammed.
Error Message: “Paper mismatch”
- Ensure that the paper size and type in the printer settings match the paper loaded in the tray.
- Try reloading the paper correctly.
Error Message: “Wi-Fi not found”
- Check if the Wi-Fi router is on and properly broadcasting its network name (SSID).
- Make sure the printer is within range of the Wi-Fi router.
- Reset the printer’s Wi-Fi settings and try connecting again.
Poor Print Quality
- Clean the print head using the maintenance utility in the Epson Control Panel.
- Replace the ink cartridges if they are running low or expired.
- Check the paper quality and try using a higher-grade paper.
